Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal information LobiSafe (Lobi Solutions) collects, why, and your rights under Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). Privacy is the core of the product: we collect the minimum needed, and every disclosure is recorded in your audit log.
1. What we collect
With your consent, we collect: identity and contact details (name, address, email); vehicle and insurance details (vehicle, plate, insurer, policy number); a driver’s-licence verification attestation and the last 3 characters only — we do not store your full licence number; incident data you create (time, GPS or address, collision type, photos); and, only if you turn on telemetry, trip summaries (distance, braking, night driving) and a score. Raw continuous GPS traces are processed on your device and are not uploaded.
2. Why we use it (purposes)
To let you exchange the statutory minimum of information after a collision; to generate a sealed claim packet and optional insurer notice; to compute an optional driving score and an approximate premium estimate for your own planning; and to keep the audit and AI-interaction logs that make disclosures transparent to you. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not show ads.
3. Consent
Consent is granular, unbundled, and revocable in the Consent center. Telemetry and AI analysis are optional and are never a condition of using the accident-exchange feature. You may withdraw any consent at any time; some features will stop working accordingly.
4. What is shared, and with whom
When you initiate an exchange, the other party sees only the fields your province requires plus practical claim details (insurer, policy number) — never your phone number, date of birth, or licence number. An insurer can retrieve a sealed packet only with the packet ID and an 8-character verification code that you provide to them; that endpoint is rate-limited against guessing, and every retrieval is written to your audit log.
5. AI processing
AI functions (coaching, damage-severity estimate, notice drafting, consistency summary, premium approximation) run server-side. When live AI is enabled, the relevant data for that function is sent to Anthropic’s Claude API to generate the response; it is not used to train models. Every AI call is recorded in your AI-interaction log with its prompt version and confidence. When live AI is not configured, responses are generated by a built-in rule-based responder and no data leaves our infrastructure.
6. Storage and security
Data is stored with our processor Supabase in a Canadian region (ca-central-1). Access is restricted by row-level security; exchange tokens are stored only as hashes; packets carry a SHA-256 integrity fingerprint; photos are kept in a private bucket accessible only to you. No system is perfectly secure, but we design for least-disclosure by default.
7. Retention and your rights
Under PIPEDA you may access, correct, or delete your personal information. You can edit your profile at any time, and you can erase your entire account and associated data — profile, consents, attestations, trips, incidents, packets, messages, photos, and audit entries — from Privacy & records → Delete my account. Deletion is immediate and irreversible. We otherwise retain data only while your account is active or as required by law.
8. Third-party processors
Supabase (database, authentication, storage — Canada); Vercel (application hosting); Anthropic (Claude API, only when live AI is enabled and only for the data needed to answer a request). Each processes data on our behalf under their terms.

We may update this policy; the “last updated” date reflects the latest version.
